Benefits: This grounding and balancing posture pose is a basic yoga pose.  It centers you, helps you to focus, and clear your mind.  It helps with balance and strengthens your back, legs, and ankles. 

How it's done:

  • Stand with your feet together, toes forward
  • Point the hips forward
  • Open chest, lift heart to the sky
  • Arms should be relaxed at your sides, palms facing forward
  • Gaze is forward and soft
  • Imagine a string from your head to your spine and down to the ground, keeping your body in a straight line
